Candace Nicol I originally came across through 6 Sides to Every Story, of which I am a participant. I just found the idea of this project very appealing.

This artist has a lot of energy, no doubt about it - it's reflected in all of the projects she has immersed herself in and I imagine she is hard pushed to get it all done. Her printmaking is energetic and I like it very much whether it be her "traditional" printmaking or her inkjet combined pieces. Really it's just another tool in the box - that's how I see it too. But all the same I think that when you are starting out - to incorporate inkjet into your printmaking - it's always of interest to see how your peers are approaching it.

Another recent encounter has been the work of Kelda Martensen, I find her work to have something in common with Candace although I cannot say what it is. I am beginning to find more and more exciting artists working tradigitally so look out for lots more interesting artists to come.
